Bringing Baseball Back to Huntsville · Established 2015

Abiding by the rules of 1864, our players aim to embody a spirit of good  sportsmanship, good-natured competition, and above all, fun.

Thank you for a wonderful season Huntsville, see you in 2017 Huzzah!

We promote a wide variety of top-notch memorabilia providers. Just give them a call and they will take care of you.

With the founding of The Huntsville Vintage Base Ball Club, Alabama will become the 21st state nationwide to host vintage base ball matches.  Each match will be a reenactment played by the rules of 1864, with our ballists in era-appropriate uniforms, using era-appropriate equipment. Lowe Mill has been gracious enough to partner with The Huntsville Vintage Base Ball Club in offering to host our home games, to be played Saturdays during the months of March – October.  Considering Huntsville’s rich history of mill team baseball, Lowe Mill makes the perfect home field for Alabama’s first vintage base ball team.

All matches will be open to the public free of charge. Our Southern Belles will be present for photo ops and the distribution of goodies.  So please, bring your children or paw babies and a seat or a quilt, and come enjoy a hardy man's game of glove-free, wooden bat baseball! Your own Huntsville Redcaps will play on March 19th around noon.

With new teams developing yearly, vintage baseball is bringing back an old spin on the game. Our players are dedicated to providing a historic take on our national pastime.

Founded by Wounded Warriors and now proud supporters. -HVBBC
